Dave Matthews Band Giveaway: Larger Than Life…in 3D

Last week we brought you news on Dave Matthews Band limited engagement 3D feature movie, “Larger than Life…In 3D.” Now, we bring fans of DMB something special, a giveaway in honor of the film, which is currently in theaters until December 17th. “Larger than Life…In 3D” was produced by Action 3D and AEG Network Live and will be distributed by Cinedigm. The footage was shot at critically acclaimed festivals this summer including, Austin City Limits, Mile High Music Festival, and All Points West.
Our friends at The Confluence Group hooked us up with some pretty sweet DMB swag to giveaway to two lucky readers of The Round Table. Okay, so I like Dave Mathews but I am entering this giveaway for a present for my brother. He is a huge DMB fan! I wanted to get him something – shirt, cd, dvd – however, I am not sure what he does and doesn’t have (he has so much!). Anway, I thought this would be such a great and unique gift!

I’ve been listening to Dave Matthews Band since 1993, as most of us have. I would have to say my favorite song comes off of what has become known as the “The Lillywhite Album”. (For being produced by Steve Lillywhite) Being illegally released to the internet sometime in late 2001/2002 it never got a proper release but it was chock full of some of the best written Dave Matthews Band songs ever. Many which have gone onto fame elsewhere, hence “Bartender”.
“Big Eyed Fish” is my favorite song period. It is well written, catchy, using the stutter stop method of singing that Matthews made famous on his Remember Two Things and Under The Table albums, and it tells a good story with a meaningful moral to it. All in all Dave and his boys at their best!

I’d have to day lyrically grey street simply for the line “she feels like kicking out the windows and setting fire to this life” but as most fun song to hear at shows probably Lie in our graves or tripping billies or ants marching. Halloween and the stone are always dark treats. Wow what a boring post, I take this way too seriously

I have been listening a lot to under the table and dreaming lately…it is always on in my car… I absolutely love the line “Its not where you are, but who your with” Best of what’s around. I love when Dave screams and hope he does not loose his voice this summer!! Dave and the band are a phenominal band and so talented it is mind blowing. I love them.

Fav. DMB song is old school…Lover Lay Down–he played it in Vegas on Friday night…My friend & I were lucky enough to get FRONT ROW, CENTER tix. I cried it was so good. Thanks, Dave!

The best song by Dave is Angel. He never plays it. Another great one is Two Step. What a song.

We had only been on a few dates when he texted me, “Do you like Dave Matthews Band?”. I responded, “I don’t know, who is that?”. Little did I know. Two and a half years, three states and 12 concerts later, I know the answer to that question. Yes! I love Dave Matthews Band. I fell in love with the song “Crush”. Now it’s our song and I am looking forward to dancing to it at out wedding in april as our song. It is possibly one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard. I love the lyrics and it’s implications. A couple being so in love it’s no longer clear “am I right side up or upside down”. You must listen to the words. So for my sweety, thanks for introducing me to one of your great loves and allowing me to find our my way to our song. “It’s crazy, how it feels tonight, crazy, how you, make it all alright”. Go crazy!

Simply Beautiful. If your out of the DMB loop, google it. Its the rarest of all of DMB’s songs, although its uncompleted in its current state, it still has that “edge” of DMB’s old stuff, especially the tunes from Before These Crowded Streets.

My favorite DMB song would probably be Lie In Our Graves, any version. Gorge 2007 was really cool though because they played it on night 1 and then played the reprise as the first song of the encore on night 3.
