Enter Sandman and Sweet Child O’ Mine Meet “The Swinger”

Enter Swingman

It’s not what you think. The Swinger is not some handsome foreigner with thick chest hair and impeccable taste in styling gel and accoutrements. There is also no proof that The Swinger can play Spanish guitar or even has fingers.

Still, The Swinger wants you to dance – to enjoy big band hits like “Enter Sandman,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” and Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit.”

The work of MIT Ph.D. graduate Tristan Jehan, The Swinger can turn any song into a Brian Setzer number by using computer code to modify the song’s structure, making it reflect traditional swing rhythm. Paul Lamere covered The Swinger on Musical Machinery a couple weeks ago, including about 10 song samples along with his post.

I’ve included a few here, but you should definitely check out the rest on Paul’s site.
