Alicia Keys premiered the official full-length music video for lead single and forthcoming album title track, “Girl On Fire.” For the video treatment, Ms. Keys shows what it takes to make a house a home as she keeps the fires burning on all fronts by doing everything from caring for an elder, taking care of kids, fixing meals, paying bills and of course looking stylish.
The message behind “Girl on Fire” is a far war cry from the likes of what is currently dominating Billboard charts by fellow female songstresses, but the reality is Ms. Keys is on another stage in life. If anything, “Girl on Fire” evokes the same feelings of strength and femininity as a modern day approach to Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.”
