Flashback Friday: House of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’
Friday, May 28th, 2010As soon as the Chicago Blackhawks clinched their first division title in 18 years earlier this week, flashbacks of everything 1992 began to surface.
First it was the unfortunate idea that Billy Ray Cyrus’ Achy Breaky Heart reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 40 Country Music Charts. (Shhh! Don’t tell Billy, but his daughter is a bigger icon).
Thankfully, House of Pain helped erase those memories with this instant classic that has been played everywhere from hockey games to movies (remember Robin Williams jamming to it in Mrs. Doubtfire?). That’s enough to tell us it is clearly better than the Achy Breaky Mistakey.
Pack it up, pack it in, let us begin the weekend with House of Pain, and get out your seat and jump around. Really, your bosses won’t mind. Promise.
The idea was recently tossed around that Miley Cyrus is ready to break out. She’s ready to shed her young-girl, Disney image in favor of a much more mature identity.
