Amy Winehouse Posthumous Album Lioness: Hidden Treasures Due Out in December
According to Rolling Stone, a collection of unreleased material from the late Amy Winehouse will be released on December 5th. The album is reportedly titled Lioness: Hidden Treasures and will contain 12 songs recorded between 2002 and 2008 including covers of “The Girl From Ipanema,” “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” and “Body and Soul,” her duet with Tony Bennett that is also featured on his new album, Duets II.
The album was compiled by producers and collaborators Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi along with Amy’s family. It’s also reported that a donation of £1 from the sale of each copy in the UK will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity that her father Mitch opened in the wake of her death earlier this year. Hope they expand that donation to include U.S. copies of her album as well, but no word on that.
