Ashley Roberts Says “It’s Over” – PCDS Break Up

As we reported a few months back, there’s been tension mounting internally with the Pussycat Dolls over Nicole Scherzinger being pushed more to the forefront of the group. First there was the new way in which songs were attributed, i.e. “The Pussycat Dolls featruing Nicole Scherzinger.” Then there was the “call out” heard round the world as Melody Thorton – who was relegated to nothing more than a glorifed backup dancer – put Scherzinger on blast during a performance. Now we get word that the group is officially over.
While a PCDs’ spokesman attempts to do damage control, UK’s Daily Mail is reporting that “a tearful” PCDer Ashley Roberts confided with fans waiting outside a UK hotel that “this is the last time we’ll be in the UK as a band. We’ve broken up. We’re sorry.”
